October Ante Up Magazine Issue

So this is a strange one.  Because of an accidental editing mistake the September info for Minnesota was repeated in the October issue.  Below is what should have been published:

UPDATE: A shortened version of the results was published in the December issue.

http://www.anteupmagazine.com/rw/issues/pdf/December_2018.pdf#page=34

Canterbury Park: Saad Ghanem of Bloomington, Minn. earned the top spot in Mid-States Poker Tour regional event after a three-way chop.  Ghanem held a small chip lead when he agreed to a chop with Alan Thompson and Paul Cross for $39,540 each.  Cross was the defending champion from the 2017 MSPT regional event at Canterbury Park.  This is Ghanems’s second largest live cash and brings his career earnings on Hendon Mob over $400K.  The event had a $350 buy-in, drew 1,065 entries and generated a $308,915 prize pool.

Running Aces: Ramsey Stovall of Rosville, Minn. took home $33,169 after winning the inaugural Great MN Poker Tournament.  This is the biggest career cash for Stovall, a poker dealer at Running Aces Casino.  The event had a $150 buy-in for 10K in chips with an optional staff appreciation add-on for another 10K in chips.  Additionally, an optional $50 stack builder add-on for an additional 20K in chips.  (For a maximum $210 buy-in). The stack builder add-on could be used at any time during the buy-in period.  If a player that had not already used purchased this add-on busted, they had one last option to purchase the add-on to continue play prior to the beginning of the next hand.  From my observation most players opted to purchase the stack builder add-on almost immediately.  The event drew 817 entrants and generated a prize pool of $133,365.
