MN at 2016 WSOP - Event 68 $10K Main Event

Eight Minnesotans cashed in the WSOP Event 68 the $10,000 Main Event No-Limit Hold'em Championship.  Aaron Johnson finished the highest  in 72nd place taking home over $100K for his efforts.  This was Johnson's fourth cash of the series.  Thao Thiem earned his third cash and Mike Kachan earned his second.

Total earnings by Minnesota players at the 2016 World Series of Poker is $1,432,344.  This is less  last year's total of $2,111,131.  However the number of cashed increased from 115 to 224, and the number of players that cashed from 87 to 132.  We also had Ryan Laplante with 12 cashes and Everett Carlton with 10 cashes compared 6 cashes as the highest last year.
